Minttu was born in 1983, in Muurame Finland.
Minttu is a Finnish is a professional dance teacher, freelance dance artist graduated from Balettakademien Stockholm. Currently she is working and living in Helsinki. For Minttu, one of the most important aspects of being a dancer is that she can use her physical capacity and expression to discover different ways of being, feeling and connecting to others. Minttu really wants to work in choreographies, which are technically demanding, risk taking and full of motion and passion.
After her graduation in 2010, Minttu has had the honor to dance in performances choreographed by f.ex. Joona Halonen, Thomas Freundlich, Johanna Nuutinen, Milla Virtanen, Reija Wäre, NordCC and Nomodaco. She has also been part of a few big productions at the Swedish Theatre in Helsinki and Finnish National Opera. Minttu is also very motivated in being active on her own creative work and co-operating with other artists and filmmakers. Besides her dance work, she is teaching contemporary, lyrical and modern jazz in different dance schools in Helsinki.
In order to keep up her strength, improve technique and broaden her horizon, Minttu has continued taking regularly professional classes and courses in Finland, around Europe and in Israel. She joined the MAD Company from the very beginning.
